California coastal

This dreamy little sunset cove was inspired by one of my favorite hikes in Southern California. Along the cliffs of Tory Pines state park you can experience delicate wildflowers and dramatic rock cliffs. I love the contrast of the harsh rocks with the beautiful flowers and the crashing waves.  It's one of my favorite places to take a day hike. 

This is one of the few paintings I'v completed using oil paints a I typically paint with acrylics. It was fun experiment! 

This is a small 8x8in flat canvas that would look beautiful displayed on a bookshelf or entryway table.
