Hello Sunshine

Hello sunshine! This painting was inspired by the beautiful lemon trees that grow throughout Southern California. Before I moved to California I had never seen a lemon tree, so they felt like such an exquisite and exotic plant. Like something from a fairytale. 

When I began working on a collection of paintings that capture the beauty of Southern California I had to include the lemon trees. Like so much of California they feel so bright, colorful and joyful. Like a little piece of sunshine.
